I love these shoes. They are comfortable and amazing durable. They are all leather and have the most wonderfully squishy insoles. The leather is soft and they bend like a dream.
Backstory:
I photograph weddings. When I do I wear a black dress that has hidden jumbo pockets for batteries and memory cards, even a lens. I also like to work in black flats. I can move around without stumbling in heels and I can climb up on anything in a good pair of flats.
My last wedding in late summer was the death of my black flats - I lost my sole. I can not say these shoes were quality, they just served the purpose of being black and flat. Comfort meant my feet didn't have blisters at the end of the day. I had them for years and they were less than $20 at Target. So, they lived a long and useful life for the price.
Present Day:The Search for new Flats
I have tried on over 20 different styles, makes, designs of black flats. The biggest disappointment was the Dr. Marten's, not only were the least comfy of all, they had toe cleveage that was just horrible, plus they are not made in England. (I heart Dr. Marten's, I have over 40 pairs of Dr's so this was sad) The Lucky Brand shoes had an elastic back that dug into the back of my ankle, again sad day because I love they way the leather holds up on my purses.Just to name a few of the big bummers.
So, what did I find, I came across a beautiful pair of black leather flats with soft insoles at L.L.Bean. I was pleasantly surprised. I have worn these to work in the weed infested pumpkin patch, not by choice it just happened one day. I did a full day wedding and they felt like little clouds.
I big heart these shoes and if you didn't know L.L. Bean had flats - check them out.
(This is just my opinion, this is not for L.L. Bean, just wanted to share my feelings on these awesome shoes.)

Oh I think I love you. I wear flats all the time. I do have a favourite pair. I got them at Ardene...I'm not sure if you have that store in the US...you can buy online though.
They make the most comfy flats ever. I can't wear heels because I have a bad back.
