We headed out to the Jalopy Showdown at Latimore Valley Fairgrounds last Saturday. It's a great event with awesome cars, dirt track circle racing and great vendors. I picked up a Stray Cat shift knob for the '56 and the kid got some stuff, but really the pictures say it all.
BUT first - we had to do a work related event called, "Touch a Truck". Local trucks are brought to the fairgrounds and the kids can play on them, beep the horns and sit in the driver's seat. We had to take a couple of buses there AND look what we found - an old Trolley - how cool.
The Geek: A 1940's dress that I picked up at the 2012 Jalopy Showdown with retro sandals I scored at a rummage sale. The 1950's wool hat with that crazy arrow I found at a thrift shop!
The Kid: A 1950's pinafore with an awesome fish pocket that we bought on eBay for $2. (plus Dorthy Sparkle Red Shoes)
The Hubs: The Ten Penny Ale shirt he got for getting our favorite CT beer to be distributed here in PA.

Those cars are fabulous!!! I love the trolley. I am a huge fan of vintage cars. That expo looks like a ton of fun. So cool that they allow kids to get all over the trucks. You guys are so adorable with your outfits! Thanks for sharing with us!
